Gratitude and Good Health
/When we are grateful for the people or the situations in our lives, we feel happy. When we feel happy, we are cultivating good health. How many of us are truly tapped in to the realization that WHAT we feel affects HOW we feel. Take it from me.... when I was working full-time and doing the whole corporate "thing," I did not have thoughts of gratitude on a day to day basis. I was tuned in to the office "chatter." People around me would complain, act moody, be nasty and few would actually be very pleasant. Leaving for work each morning, my thoughts would focus around what the ambiance would be when I arrived at my desk. While I did enjoy the actual work I was doing, dealing with the various personalities around me was quite challenging.
Now, here I am 2+ years out of the office environment and grateful for so much in my life. I'm grateful that I am able to work out of my house, spend more time with my husband, grateful to have the opportunity to watch my granddaughter, Ava, 3 days a week, grateful to be out in nature on a daily basis, and grateful to sit back, listen to the birds and watch the butterflies flutter around the flowers. Life is sweet and I feel really good. I have more energy now and a peacefulness that I don't think I've had since I was a child.
Are you in a situation where you've lost sight of all the things you are grateful for? Do you feel your health is compromised?
What can you do to turn around your life and bring on good health?
